Proulx Newsletter 10/17-21/2016

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to week 7 of 37.   The Island Map project is underway.  Students will continue to work every day for a few minutes to finish up their Map Keys, transfer their drawings of landforms and bodies of water onto their map poster-boards, and add all of the required elements in order to be finished by the due date.  Students are excited to finish their maps, and to do their presentations, and share their "Islands."  Let's encourage each other to stay on-task, and work hard to finish!

Some students will do MAP make-ups (from absences), this week, so please remind them to get plenty of rest, and to eat healthy snacks every day.

Service Project: HandsOnGreaterPortland Greeting Cards for Meals on Wheels. We also look forward to working with NWCO this year!  We will need much parent help (our service projects will be during the school day, and we will need drivers/chaperones).  Be looking for dates/times, and the volunteer email to be sent in the coming weeks.
