Welcome to week 19 of 37. February is upon us and it looks to be a very exciting month. It's time to dig in with the end of our Social Studies Unit: Ancient Egypt, and to prepare for the Hoop-A-thon. Please keep up with WHCS events via the school newsletter, and let's make this week a great one!
Service Project: We are looking at our schedule to plan our upcoming work with NWCO this trimester. We will need much parent help (drivers/chaperones). Be looking for dates/times, and the volunteer email to be sent in the coming weeks.

Bible: Finish lesson 7. Test 2/3 (note date change) Study guide is online.
MV: Hebrews 10: 11-12 MV quiz 2/3 (note date change)
Math: Go Math Chapter 2. Test 1/31 (Tuesday). Begin Chapter 3 on 2/1.
Math practice and helps: Think Central, and Khan Academy.
SS: Projects due Monday 1/30. Begin Presentations 1/31. Test 2/2. (Note date change)
Sci: Continue Unit G. Movement and Control
- Reading: Realistic Fiction unit.
- Read aloud: Treasure of the Hidden Tomb by Tad Hardy.
- Writing: Continue Word Choice unit. Dress Ups and Sentence Openers. <link
- Spelling: Finish unit 9 (analogies). Begin unit 10. Dictation Test Friday.
- Grammar: Continued focus: Adjectives, adverbs.
- Penmanship: Continue Handwriting Without Tears.
Specials: Regular Schedule
Art: Students finished their Cartouche's for Reading Buddies. This week: TBD.
